of ouchies and chinchillas

So after I found out that I had gained about 15 lbs over the last two months ( that is two months of no exercise( no money to pay for capoeira lessons, and my running shoes fell apart)and lots of face-stuffing), I decided to get back on track last week, especially after my capoeira group lowered their rates. I decided to do capoeira at least two to three times a week , and weights and extra cardio the rest of the time. With two hours of capoeira, thats a good work-out, and one doesnt need running shoes :-)

Imagine my chagrin and disappointment at myself last night, when I injured myself while performing a sequence. We were supposed to do aus (a capoeira cartwheel), on both sides. I was beside a beginner, and was already going into my second au when she was going into her first one. I was going right and she was going left, and seeing her from the corner of my eye, I reversed my au, to very painful consequences. My whole weight landed on my left wrist, and bent it out of whack. Thankfully it wasnt broken, just heavily sprained.

The bad news is that I am a leftie, and I will have to use my right for loads of things primarily reserved for my left, and all this for one week! not to mention the fact that I will be unable to do weights, and can only do minimal capoeira....

ggrrrrrrrrr!

In better news, my boyfriend and I are seriously thinking of getting a chinchilla, one of the cutest animals I have ever seen. We have been doing our research, and looking around, and I definitely want one :-)

Got to stop typing now, my left wrist is hurting a tad, and I have to go pop some more drugs to make the pain go away, ehehehehe....
